Remarks: We genuinely did not plan to sell this house. Which is probably exactly what every person selling a house says, but we bought it last April and spent the next year making all the decisions you make when you think you're staying. And then, naturally, another house came along. So here we are. 517 Primrose Court is a single-story, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home on 1.52 heavily treed acres in Shadow Wood Estates in Argyle ISD. It has 2,716 square feet, a split floor plan, a pool, tons of privacy, and the kind of backyard that makes you forget you live anywhere near DFW. We've been updating it with absolutely zero intention of flipping it, which means we picked the finishes we actually liked instead of whatever was in the clearance section at Home Depot. The kitchen has been completely refreshed, the fireplace updated, and paint and finishes brought out of 1990. We've spent an unreasonable amount of time obsessing over details the next owners get to enjoy without living through the mess. The huge wall of windows across the back looks out over the pool and trees, bringing beautiful natural light without sacrificing privacy. The primary bedroom is separated from the secondary bedrooms, there's room to entertain, and everything is on one floor. A feature you appreciate the first time you carry a laundry basket through a two-story house. The oversized garage has room for an extra refrigerator, plumbing for a dog-washing station, and an elevator lift to the massive decked attic. And the lot. The lot is honestly what got us good. Established trees everywhere, a pool tucked into the backyard, space between neighbors, and still right in the heart of Argyle. The goal was to keep the good '90s charm, but update the parts that had enjoyed the '90s a little too long. We love this house. We hope you do too. Somebody is going to benefit tremendously from our inability to leave well enough alone.
